The four-year undergraduate program in Industrial Engineering consists of a set of core courses and electives in the basic engineering sciences, probability, statistics, computer applications, assembly automation, production planning and control, operations research, production systems engineering, facility layout, engineering economy, simulation, etc. It is designed to prepare students for professional employment upon graduation.
It also provides an academic foundation for continuing studies. There is a strong interaction between the Department of Industrial Engineering and the Departments of Computer Engineering, Mechanical and Production Engineering, and Management Information Systems. Students are encouraged to choose electives from other departments as well as from Industrial Engineering.
